RickSynth2

Overview

This is very much the successor of the RickSynth1 but nearly all the components have been assembled on the PCB during manufacturing. It is also capable of tuning itself. Also I decided to make a front panel to hold all the potentiometers. This means that I can quickly solder them onto the panel and attach it to the main board using ribbon cables.

Power Supply

This synth uses a standard 12V DC supply you can get anywhere pretty cheaply. The negative supply is generated using a LM2576 switching regulator. The datasheet for it is easy to read and provides an example circuit for generating a negative supply from a positive one.
